We enjoy the many beaches with crystal clear waters of Ibiza. Depending on the wind and waves we move from one bay to another.
First, we run to the northern bay of Cala Portinax. Before we go the next day to Cala Benirras, we hang us a buoy and go from our CQR anchor with the new bow anchor. We are curious how this paid off. Thank you nor the family Tschanz, which brought us the 24-pound anchor to Menorca.
The Cala Benirras is beautifully so you can watch from the boat the most amazing sunsets. Once the sun is lower, on the beach, the drummers begin their rhythms. These drums every evening until late at night, which sounds great in contrast to disco music. meet on Sunday evening, plus all known drummers for a joint session. We are carried back in time in the hippie! The mood on the beach is unforgettable.
After three days it goes in the Cala Salada. As the evening we still want to drop anchor, our anchor in 10 m depth caught with a concrete block. Yes, all efforts are useless, we sit down. For this night we keep safe! In the morning we pack your diving equipment, and are mega happy for the first time the diving equipment on board to have. Hans Peter solves our anchor, a good feeling to be free again.
We sail on to Port Sant Antoni where we are the first night at anchor and the next day in the marina drive. Hans Peter takes apart the water pump from the engine because this very drips and the earrings have to be changed. Fortunately, we find everything in our spare box and the pump is again dense. The Jabsco water pump, we can revise this winter in Vieste, but it has dripped from the beginning. So it is with much! Even our wave generator was repaired and no one really fit, we tried this in Brindisi and in Malta! Both times it cost a lot, but at the rehearsal at sea under sail, he was not working. Now we have the wave generator with Adrian given home for a company to revise this, Urs and Aurelia took him to Majorca, and Hans Peter mounted him and lo and behold now he is working again and will be sailing with us for our electricity supply autopilot. This is good especially in the night when the solar cells at night to bring anything. Many thanks to all helpers yet.
Back to the port of Sant Antoni, we can use our laundry to be washed, water bunkers and enjoy the nightlife of Ibiza times. It's funny watching the goings and we almost get the party people celebrated the carnival in the summer.
The next day we look forward to a quiet bay and go to all the errands to the nearby Cala Bassa. We enjoy a day of swimming, reading and relaxing.
On the second morning it goes back further, as is called for in the forecast wind and swell from the north.
wants with the wind on the nose, we cross between the small islets by, but when Hans Peter the Genoa with the winch take quite tight, it makes kraggg and Backbordwinsch refused their service. Fortunately, we can confirm the beans on the Steuerbordwinsch, because the wind had freshened and we cruise at about 20 knots wind.
We walk to the beautiful bay of Cala Tarida and I am pleased once again to have Internet access.
Spare the winch be dug deep down and disassembled the winch. The me is always like a Three-dimensional puzzle. The error is quickly detected the fine feathers must be replaced. We also check equal to the second genoa winches. A case Hans Peter that his hands are already full of grease and he still can immediately repair the bike. With our folding bicycles, the vulnerability has been felt. The spokes are rusting and always cracking one. In Mallorca we have replaced an entire wheel, and now we may need to replace the old spokes. Hans Peter works safely two hours on a bike and when we have pumped up the tire again and want to supply the wheel, we hear a noise which we can not bode well. Renews has again jumped one spoke. So now is definitely fixed, on the mainland, three new bikes bought for our folding bikes, then they should be back strong. We look forward to autumn tours!
In the coming days we will sail to the mainland to Denia about 55sm. We watch the weather forecast and hope for suitable winds.
