For too long we have remained in Gibraltar. Nevertheless, we have spent a good time and our weather vane (the third man or woman on board) is installed and ready for use. The wind generator is operational at the mizzen mast and connected to the batteries.

We are waiting for suitable conditions, agree wind, tidal and wave forecast should.

On Friday 13th November! it is ready. At 8.00 clock at dawn we weigh anchor in La Linea and make our journey through the streets.

Since we are on a fixed bridge and the tide here is substantial but, we have created with the bow and everything installed from the dinghy.

The ladder must be removed and the whole mirror can be measured and marked. Now we can drill the holes for the fasteners. All parts are secured with a pod, so we are not out of carelessness, one falls into the water! Much time and labor required the making and customizing the wood material, since the mirror is not equal on all sides of the Sharki.

Once this work is done, we look at a first assembly that everything comes to a good fit. Read full post »
