We got a place at random in the Marina Bay and want to now if the weather is better, right now it's raining heavily and winds, install our Hydrovane. On Tuesday we will sail around the Cape Bon to Sidi Bou Said. We have northwesterly winds 4-5 Bf Sidi Bou Said, the most expensive marina in Tunisia (30 €), a reservation is necessary otherwise it may be that you have to wait long for a place.
We chose this target because it quickly from here and just get into the capital, Tunis, and also the tourist town of Sidi Bou Said artist is worth a visit.
In Sidi Bou Said, we stroll through the picturesque old towns, which is located on the hill and the white houses, the turquoise-blue windows, doors and grilles dressed really smug.
We visit a museum, which is the traditional way of life from past to the present is. A whole yard with all the rooms is decorated really nice and you feel as an extra in a fairy tale from 1000 Nights.
The next day we travel by train to Tunis. We enjoy the day with a stroll in Old Town. Once we get off the tourist souks we get into small alleys with their many shops and stalls where we stock up on spices.
We get a glimpse of the Tunisian daily life. The ambience is oriental and simple, the people are all very friendly and helpful and not pushy, just as one often hears.
Umag it went into the Solinebucht, this is near the Limskikanal. In a quiet anchorage we enjoyed two days. As we sailed on the wind matched with 20 knots of wind in the direction of Pula. Our Whisper ran wonderfully close to the wind and we were very quickly show up in spite of the marina in Pula. There we expect our friends Bernard and Charles, who came from her sailing back to Pula.
